One of the categories we are often asked about are the "Skin Type" categories, which are divided up into sections such as "Normal" or "Mature" or "Acne/ Oily" and so on.
Where a product is allocated, it is on the basis that that product may be specifically helpful for a particular skin type, it does *not* mean that, because it is not listed under, say, "Normal Skin", those with a normal skin type may not find the product helpful.
As to actual use, this is always an issue. Many of the products listed under the "Advanced Skincare" section are quite strong, not to mention, expensive. If you are not sure about buying a particular product, then it is important to make a point of visiting a skin care professional of your choice.
Visiting a skin care professional is not as expensive as one may believe and certainly, a lot cheaper than spending a significant amount of money on a range of products that turn out to be wholly wrong for your skin. True, your professional may have a preference for a particular range, though that also should be viewed as a positive - it means your skin care professional has had specific training with regard to that range and can advise you with confidence.
There are ranges that you cannot buy online and are only available through a skin care professional. This is often due to their having much stronger active ingredients and so, a patch test may be required before proceeding as well as a thorough investigation of the condition and make-up of your skin type.
